The short answer. When you book charter for an executive, you need three things most brokers do not give you: a price you can defend line by line, a card that is not charged until the flight is real, and one named person who owns the booking. Jet Of America is a Boston-headquartered private aviation concierge and charter booking platform serving clients across the United States and internationally, built around exactly that: you receive an itemized estimate (aircraft, repositioning if any, landing/FBO, 7.5% federal excise tax, segment fees, and our fee as its own line), your executive authorizes payment, and nothing is captured until our concierge confirms the aircraft and final price with the independent FAA Part 135 operator. If the operator cannot confirm on those terms, the authorization is released — no charge, no “refund” runaround. No membership, no jet card.
What you receive for every request
- An itemized estimate you can forward as-is — the same document your executive or finance team sees. No separate “internal” numbers.
- The operating carrier identified before capture — operator legal name, aircraft type and year, and Part 135 status are confirmed before any payment is taken.
- A change protocol in writing — if the confirmed price differs from the estimate, you approve the new figure first, or the authorization is released. Nothing is captured on a surprise.
- One concierge contact — a named person reachable at 857-991-4220 and concierge@jetofamerica.com, who owns the request from submission to wheels-up.
The EA booking workflow (use this with any provider)
- Collect the non-negotiables first: date flexibility (± how much?), latest acceptable arrival, passenger count and names as they appear on ID, luggage reality (skis, samples, a dog?), ground transport at both ends.
- Choose airports for the executive’s actual destination, not the city’s name: Boston departures usually mean Hanscom Field (BED), not Logan; New York usually means Teterboro (TEB) or Westchester (HPN).
- Demand the itemization before you present the price upward: base charter, repositioning, landing/FBO/handling, FET (7.5%), segment fees ($5.30 per passenger per segment), and the broker/concierge fee as its own line. A single all-in number is a number you cannot defend later.
- Ask what is confirmed and what is estimated — in writing. Aircraft tail, year, and operating carrier should be named before money moves.
- Ask the cancellation terms before authorization, including what happens to any hold at each cancellation window.
- Put the day-of-travel plan in one message: FBO addresses, tail number, crew contact protocol, and your phone number as the ground contact — EAs are the failover for every day-of problem; make sure the operator’s team knows it.
Questions to ask any charter provider (including us)
- Are you the operator, or a booking platform/broker? (Jet Of America: a booking platform operated by Lizay LLC; flights are flown by independent Part 135 operators.)
- Will you itemize the full price, including your own fee, before I authorize anything?
- When exactly is my executive’s card charged — before or after the operator confirms?
- What happens, in writing, if the operator declines or the price changes?
- Who operates the flight, and when do I learn the tail number and aircraft year?
Where we are honest about our stage
Status — November 4, 2026. Jet Of America is pre-launch: the app is in TestFlight (internal testing), the web concierge is live at app.jetofamerica.com, and payments are temporarily paused while Stripe completes its review (submitted November 3, 2026). Today, the right step is a conversation or a sample itemized estimate for your route — we will tell you plainly when live booking opens, and we will never invite a card authorization while payments are paused.
